This morning, Alex, along with his Elvis & Nixon co-stars Johnny Knoxville and Colin Hanks, appeared on Good Morning America to talk about the movie. If you missed it, check out the video below!
Last night, Alex attended the Tribeca Film Festival where his latest project Elvis & Nixon premiered and I’ve just added photos from the premiere into the gallery.
Alex Pettyfer is helping launch a new book titled “Blood, Ink, & Fire” with his production company and he is teasing the release with this special new video.
In the clip, the 25-year-old actor is seen shirtless while getting a tattoo of the book’s logo on his back.
“Blood, Ink & Fire,” written by Ashley Mansour, will be released on December 1 via Upturn Publishing. The novel is a gripping, evocative tale that asks, who would we be without books?

Alex Pettyfer’s image rehabilitation is working and has some entertainment observers predicting that it could result in him once again being considered by filmmakers as a leading man for their projects.
In 2012 after the release of the film “Magic Mike” he was considered one of the rising stars in Hollywood and a name that numerous film casting agents, directors and producers had on their ‘short’ list of potential leading men.
Unfortunately for him rumours and articles started emerging of the difficulties he had with writer/director/star Channing Tatum on the set of “Magic Mike” and the unwillingness of the director to bring him back for the sequel even though the film was a huge box office success.
The public disclosure of the philosophical differences he had on the set of “Magic Mike” resulted in his work opportunities diminishing.
In 2011 he was seen in three movies and after the success of “Magic Mike” in 2012 many entertainment observers thought he would be receiving many more Hollywood projects. However, that has not been the situation for him as since the 2012 release of “Magic Mike” he has appeared in only two movies: Lee Daniels’ “The Butler” and “Endless Love”.
Some entertainment observers believe that casting agents, producers and directors have been taking a cautious approach with the English actor and wanting to see if he would be a ‘problem’ on the set or would he be able to work as a productive member of the cast.
On his current film, “Elvis & Nixon”, a movie in which he plays one of the friends of the singing superstar and later becomes his bodyguard and so far he has proven to be professional, committed and there has been no mention of him being difficult to work with which is helping change his reputation among other filmmakers.
It seems like Alex Pettyfer has learned from his past conduct on the “Magic Mike” set as now some entertainment observers are predicting that 2015 could be the year his name is once again included in discussions about the best young leading man candidates, especially if he completes filming on “Elvis & Nixon” without there being any news of trouble on the set because of him.
The Alex Pettyfer situation is a lesson that all actors must remember: one can lose the opportunity to be a star if one proves difficult to work with and repairing one’s reputation is a very difficult and long process that if one can avoid, they should.
